With the correct adaptors, my Metz 45CT4 works very well in TTL mode with my
PZ-1p. Including 2nd curtain sync and contrast control. It also has a focus
assist beam provided by the adaptor. I don't, right off the top of my head,
remember the SCA model number but I'll look it up when I get home this
afternoon, if anyone is interested. I think it's an SCA 3701, but am not
absolutely sure. I believe this combo will work fine in TTL with the MZ-5n.

<< Yep, that appears to be it. And that sucks. (Sorry Wendy) But really,

For those who don't need TTL and want a high powered flash, look at the Metz
45 CT series. They are cheap on ebay. I picked one up with a home made
battery pack for about 70 US. It replaced my old Metz 202 that I didn't want
to renew the power pack again. It swivels 180 as will as tilts 90.
Unfortunately, it does not tilt -15, ut I use a "brollie" for close-ups
anyway.
I tested this pact weekend with my very old "soff shoulder" for both
distance and close-up. It is a champ.
