I may well wind up doing that, or just use a pen or small screw driver to press the shutter mechanism inside the 6x7 body. The guy at the local repair shop was not sanguine about finding the part he would need to fix the shutter button but was going to look for it. If he can find it, the repair would be simple and inexpensive.
