Stopped at the scenic overlook on the Mystic River, to take a couple of
shots of the resident tall ships. I had dropped the Kalamar 500mm f8.0
Mirror Telephoto into my light bag just because. That lens is capable
of amazing things, as well as producing unparalleled disappointments.
Manual focusing a super telephoto using the stock focusing screen in the
K5II can be a trial, but I took extra care that the in focus indicator
was lit before shooting off a series of shots at this kayaker. This is
the only image that was usable, and only at web size.
