In the days of yore, when I had hair and we last had a "Synchronicity"
PUG, it featured photos taken within a day or two of the equinox.
If that is the case this time, the closing date is July 30 rather than
September 30; and that the relevant equinox is the vernal one (June 21).
Brian, am I correct?
That's what I get for not proof reading messages before sending.
The closing date for each PUG is the last day of the preceding month -
so for August, it should have read 31 July.
I'm afraid I'm guilty of not giving sufficient consideration and advance
notice to this theme. No excuses, I'm a dolt...
The first Synchronicity theme was in October 1998 and the idea then was
for PDMLers to all take a picture at more or less the same time. The
equinox was adopted as the reference date for taking the pictures.
Given that the June equinox has passed, it would be too restrictive to
adopt that for our August PUG. So there are two options:
* Defer this theme until October or November, using the September
equinox as the reference.
* Adopt a specific time and date this month.
Your thoughts??
Since I will probably not be able to get my act together to submit a
photo either way, I vote to get it over with this month.
