Okay I think I will do that for the time being and sign back up under a
different email address. Rather odd that it has just started doing this
but hey the life of the internet.

i bet it's Bell South (your email provider) causing this; i would look
in your spam folder, and possibly contact their tech support and/or
try another email provider; if you look back in the archives you'll
find several discussions about good alternative email providers in the
last few months
