Thanks, Paul and Attila! Yes, Paul, I agree that a longer exposure would have improved the image by showing motion in the chopper blades. Unfortunately, we were on the way to our car when I noticed the chopper heading into the sunset, and I had only a moment to put down the other things I was carrying, open the camera bag, and pick up the camera before the chopper move out of this nice position relative to the sunset. I don't think I even had time to check the camera settings -- I just snapped and they it was out of position.
