Nice series, Dave. We are under a Scrub Jay siege. We have a back fence feeder 
that has summoned every Jay in this area code.
Scrub Jays (Calif.) look much like those I grew up with in the midwest, except 
these have no top knot.
Same aggressive raucous manner. Make me think of the bb gun I lived with during 
the summer w a y back then. 
I now hunt with a Pentax.
