Dan has posted those interesting SEM images in another thread. Since a few people showed interest to this type of images, I thought I would share a interesting set. This is an initiative by American Physical Society (APS) - to collect some interesting images obtained in the course of research (and there even an annual competition). Many of them are not as impressive, as the images in this case is not the goal in itself, and frequently people taking these images are pushing the limit of (resolution,ability of the system,...) Still, some of them are rather curious.
