What the hell happened to the /personal/ in personal computer?
After i read the forum about naming the computer, i had a look in
system preferences under sharing. The computer was named, however i
did an edit, and renamed it the same thing and all's no good. Full
moon.??

Just annoyance, after an update things stop working. Why? Damifiknow.
Start a search find out that now you must enable this or disable that or
change the name of your computer to bring it into some state of
compliance. Why, usually just because, does it enhance security? Not
really. Does it make the system more efficient? Not really, in fact the
time spent discovering the reason for the problem and then fixing the
problem decreases efficiency. Now I run my own network, every box on my
network is named. But if I have just one computer, why should I, or
anyone else, give a damn. I didn't used to be required to.

My Epson 2400 all of a sudden has stopped printing. The print centre
seems to see the printer but times out. I have run the nozzels
cleaning and that works fine.
I have supplied a screen capture of the message. I have reinstalled the
drivers.
There was an up date to the software that was installed a few days
ago, prior to that it worked fine.

Can you remove/undo the update that was installed a few days ago?
Whether or not that's possible, the next thing to try would be to
disconnect the printer, remove all related drivers and software and
*then* reinstall versions that you know to be functional.
