If you are a PentaxForums member you probably already got the email to the 3rd (and FINAL) round viewing and voting threads. With the PDML's help my 2nd round photo was good enough to get me into the final round, meaning that I should have a 1:32 chance of winning (all things being equal).
The thing is that the rules keep changing (which is a little frustrating) and now they have some convoluted formula that factors in how you did in Rounds 1 & 2. I'm not sure, because it makes my head hurt to think about, but it looks like one could actually make the 3rd round, WIN IT, and still not win the contest. Completely weird. Also weird is that this contest is open to non-Pentax shooting photographers. I think it would be an affront to most Pentax shooters to have a non-Pentax using photographer win the PentaxForums contest and the K-3, but maybe that's just me. What I do know is this: More votes in the 3rd round would be better than fewer rounds, so I thought I would let my fellow PDMLers know that I made it there and would again appreciate your support (should you think the photo merits it). Also, keep in mind that you CAN vote for 3 images, so if you should decide to vote for just ONE you would be providing that ONE an extra boost - completely within the ever-changing rules of this contest. The VIEWING post is here: http://www.pentaxforums.com/articles/photo-contests/pentax-k-3-photo-contest-round-3-voting.html (Click on any image to view it at full size, see title info, ect.) You may recognize mine at Number 9. The VOTING thread is here: http://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/174-pentax-k-3-photo-contest/269917-pentax-k-3-contest-round-3-voting.html I realize that there are more than a few here who dislike PentaxForums and probably for good reason. But for those who can hold their nose, log-in, and cast a vote (or three), know that you will have my gratitude. I *never* enter photo contests, so to be in the final round is an honor in and of itself, but I would surely put a K-3 to good use, should I win this contest. Thanks again, for your support!
