Thanks for the look, Rick. There are two enclaves in Iowa one in SE Iowa
along Interstate 80 near Iowa City. Very commercial,wineries, furniture
& tourism. Another smaller group off Interstate 35 near Mason City. None
of the Amish I talked to had any knowledge about Amish outside of their
town. Obviously they don't have national conventions. Mackinac Island
however is a favored vacation spot for the Indiana Amish I met.

That is a great series, Don. There is a large Amish population in
Lancaster County (about 2h west of Philly), but shooting opportunities
are very limited.

On my way to Mackinaw we spent two days in Indiana Amish area. These
are a few photos of the trip all taken with Pentax. At least one photo
may surprise you but yes they raise them for their milk. If any catch
your eye comments good or bad are appreciated.
