Yes. The little guy was moving quickly, and bouncing around a bit. I was varying the shutter speed, and so the aperture, to try to get the bird in focus while still avoiding motion blurt. In this case, I obviously went to far towards maximizing DoF, at the expense of shutter speed, and the result is quite a bit of motion blur. Never-the-less, I like the effect here, showing the wing motion yet still catching the little white item in the bird's beak. For me, the wing shadow ties it together.
I didn't actually plan this result, but sometimes serendipity trumps planning.
