Flocks of these are frequent visitors to our garden. This one is raiding a weaver's nest. The Afrikaans common name is "Kakelaar" because of the cackling sound they make - quite raucous if a large flock is working it's way through the foliage. They are mainly insectivorous but eat nestlings & lizards too.
