I live a lot closer to the epicenter than Larry or Godfrey, but it wasn't really that bad here in Concord. It felt like being in a tall building during a violent windstorm, even though my place is on the 1st floor. My parents live in Sonoma, which is very close to Napa and American Canyon. They lost some breakable things on shelves, but otherwise they're okay.
There's lots of damage in wine country, but so far no reported loss of life. It looks like it could have been a lot worse than it was.
