Just a couple of thoughts to add. First, if you're not home and they leave a card, they're ~supposed~ to write on the card whether you've got to pay, and how much. They don't always do that however, at least around here. I've gotten to the P.O. the next day, with a card that indicates no charges, and found that I've had to pay. Be prepared...
Second, you're right about UPS, Andre (I don't know about the other Big Courier Companies). We've had extensive discussions here in the past, so I don't want to start anything here, but UPS tried to charge me a $45 brokerage fee (incl. customs and duty and all that) for a bike jersey that I paid $10US for on eBay. Needless to say, I refused it (damned crooks). The moral, Dave, is always demand that stuff be shipped US Postal. Always. regards, frank andre langevin wrote: > Dave, you pay at the door if you're there or they leave you a card > with the amount and you pick up the packet at the post office.
