One cold, cloudy, foggy morning I stepped out with the K-5 and 18-135 WR in our neighborhood - Thornhill, Ontario - where you can see the tree to the left of our house, photo 5331. I was amazed to see whiffs of vapor / smoke coming out from the barks of this tree - a phenomenon I had never seen before.
Fall colors begin to show and the maple tree leaves - Canadas symbol on the Flag - are turning a beautiful red & gold. Soon many of the the trees will become skeletons when the leaves fall to the ground. One such lonely red & gold maple leaf can be seen on the rusted man-hole. The spider has woven a complicated web low in the grass and says "come into my parlor". As if the kill is not enough, he has dew all around him for a drink after his meal. As Halloween approaches golden brown pumpkins begin to appear in homes outside as a good omen and a sign of much fun & joy.
