Yikes! We had wind like that one day, but obviously not the day we went past Kinder Downfall. And we were generally lucky that none of the streams was running very high during our walk. We noted (retrospectively) that one of the stream crossings was marked "ford" on our map. It was at the end of a long, tough day and we really didn't need to be fording any streams.
