A moot point now I suppose, but rather than buying a dicey old copy of CS off eBay you could have bought a brand-new copy of PS Elements 13 for not much more than $70 (assuming shopping around / waiting for a sale). PS CS is quite ancient (eleven years) and PSE 13 would likely be quite a bit more powerful and useful. (Although I see that CS did support 16 bits in some operations.)
