Hi Brian,

What it means is that Doug has a hosting plan that has a monthly bandwidth cap. I've seen it happening on several occasions before, but usually on the 29th-31st of the month, so it was resolving itself quickly.
It's unusually early this month. (I've seen it at least 24 hours ago.)
What that means is that either the crawler bots intensified or we've got more PDML readers who like that interface. Myself guilty of that, in the past 3 months, I've been using the other archive interface that is bit more clunky but that saves Doug some traffic:

Based on my previous observations and from the fact that the list has been working today, I suspect it is for the webservice traffic only and the e-mail should be unaffected.

HTH,

Igor

Not that it affects the operation of the list, but pdml.net - where the archives reside and where one goes to subscribe - seems to be down. I'm getting a "Bandwidth Exceeded" error when I try to access the archives:

Anyone else seeing this?
