Rob, my HP monitor's screen's aspect ratio is 16 x 9 - that's what I
"cropped" your image to :-) - and I enlarged your photo so I could "pan"
across and see everything on it... I got a lot of detail in pieces...
the first view I get is the whole image across the screen but with the
bottom of the screen all white..
Ah yes the opera house, they always show that here on TV whenever there
is any news at all from your 'Town" :-)
I make a distinction between a photographer's artistry/craftmanship in
capturing an image, whether or not the subject matter is something I
like. I just found the left hand side of the pano more pleasing to
look at..reflections in quiet waters are soothing.
got any pano's from the outback? ;)

Hi Guys,
Thanks again for commenting. Igor I'm impressed that you can see so
many potential uses for the pic, what do I do with all the rest? ;)
Attila, I've had jobs on the Tall ship that you mentioned, it's a
lovely vessel, here's an alternate view

Sorry Ann, it's a big image, without using the Gigapan site of
something similar it's difficult to display such images effectively,
if you make them fit into a normal screen you end up discarding all
the details which is what really makes the image IMO. The "sails"
building is the Sydney Opera House, that and the Sydney Harbour Bridge
are basically the Sydney Harbour tourist icons though of course there
is far more to the city.
Bob, it was a pleasure being able to spend time with you, any time you
are out this way again :)
Cheers,

Rob,
That's a wonderful pano of a great place.
We still relish the tour you gave us and the harbor.
The iconic Opera House roof gives it a marvelous sense of place.
Beautiful image with marvelous details when you zoom in.

To really see this I needed to enlarge it quite a bit and pan from left to
right myself.... then I could see the details.
It's beautifully done, but I prefer just looking at everything to the left
of th "lacklustre" sky, the colors, reflections in the water and the
silhouette of the famous structure with the "sails" that I can't remember
the name of I could look at a long time. Cruise ships are instruments of
the devil. :-)

Fabulous! That really has it all - excellent exposure and composition
of a landmark location. For all that is in that image, I find the lights
reflecting in the water to be totally captivating.

Hi Team,
I've been shooting events back to back over the past few months and
have had very little time spare to engage in any other photography and
I'm really missing shooting landscapes. So this morning (after
shooting an event last night) got up at an ungodly hour to see if I
could capture a nice little morning pano. This is one of 10, I haven't
stitched any others as yet but I'm pretty happy with the way this one
came out given the fairly lackluster sky.
Tech: 15 images, 185MP stitched. K3 ISO100 1/10s MUP, Sigma Art
18-35/1.8 at 18mm f2.2, Panosarus Head on Manfrotto 044/308RC and
wireless shutter release.
