Last year I was stopped by guards at an outdoor "boy band" concert, which I was attending with my family, because my $70 1969 Yashica rangefinder (45/1.7 lens) branded me a "serious" photographer who might sell his photos. Geez, I just wanted to get memories of the girls at their first concert. Meanwhile, teen girls with Canon Rebels and digital camcorders were admitted. I kept pressing the guards for a precise definition of which kinds of cameras were alloweed, but all I could get was vague statements like, "We don't allow serious cameras."
