I just recently bought some PK rear caps from fotodiox, and they work
pretty
well at $2 each. Pentax rear caps run about $8, and there are other
no-name
brands that are about $1, but which are a loose and sloppy fit.

worth mentioning the $9 Op-tech rear caps because they have a rubber
O-ring that makes them very secure; my Pentax caps vary, some are great,
but some (worn?) feel like they could pop off too easily

Whenever I run across an independent camera store, I check to see if
they have a junk box of old lens caps.

I look for a particular vintage of rear caps, shaped like a little
top-hat. They don't say Pentax, it's "ASAHI OPT. CO. MADE IN TAIWAN
R.O.C.".

They're the best fitting caps I've been able to find. I've replaced
almost all of my rear lens caps with them.

I usually pick them up for a couple of dollars each.
