Thanks for the comments, Christine. I added a fair bit of punch already because the lighting was pretty flat and the reflections on the window weren't helping. I may have another go at it later. Part of the problem is that my computer isn't well located for editing in the evenings now that it's staying lighter for longer, so the shadows tend to look deeper at the time.
