Hey all. Picked up a Mamiya/Sekor 1000TL w/ 55mm 1.8 lens, case, & strap. Everything works on it, including meter, self timer, etc. Just needs a little clean up. The lens is a Memiya/Sekor brand. Just wondering first of all if I got a good deal. Paid $47. I did not see any listed on KEH's site to compare prices.
Now for the questions. The lens apertaure blades are a little slow, but apprently functional. How does this lens compare to the Pentax 50mm 1.4? I know this may not be strictly Pentax talk, but does anyone know a good reference site on the internet for Mamiya lenses for this camera? It seems that Pentax brand screw mounts are much more widely available, and that's probably what I will end up buying. Local camera store will sell me the Pentax 50/1.4 for $30. They also have the 28mm/3.5 w/ matching hood for $25 (blades are a little slow on it as well). Or, both for $50. Are either of these a good deal? I'm sure I'll have more questions. Might want to add either the 85 or the 105 lens down the road. Hint, hint-looking for a good deal from list member??? Thanks for any information. Yahoo!
