Jack, I like the how the wings are lit.

Is this a drastic crop? -- I don't know if it is due to the optics or 
because the camera was handheld (not fast enough shutter speed?), but as 
you said, it is not very sharp.
Also, I would see if it work better with a bit more in the vertical 
direction (at the top and especially at the bottom). From the aspect 
ratio, I conclude that it was definitely cropped vertically, - but maybe 
you didn't have enough on both sides...
