As far as I know all MZ-S's come with a data back. No MZ-S is available
without the data back. On a camera of this level I think this data back is a
waste. Seems like it was Pentax's way of getting a few more $ for this
wonderful body. I have an SF-1 with a REAL data back - it can record
alpha/numerics in ascending & decending order as well as time/date data and
can also be used for interval recording.
