Hey, a Bluenoser on the list!!  Woo-hoo!  I was just down there a couple of
weeks ago.  I get down at least twice a year (family down there).  We'll have to
see if we can get together next time I'm down.

Anyway, you're problem:  I don't know anyone down there who can help, but I
bring my MX and Spotmatics to Kominek's here in Toronto:

E-mail them and tell them your problem.  I'm sure they can let you know if they
can help.  They're really good at scrounging parts, in my experience.  They also
answer e-mails fairly quickly, at least they did mine.

If they can help, I know it would be a PIA to have to mail it here, but at least
it wouldn't cross any borders.
