Yes - those are support braces. My original remark really was tongue in
cheek... I was just making a far fetched connection between the Mercedes
logo and the German ferry boat.

Took a look at this on the big screen. Nice shot of a pretty scene. The
lifesaver mounts are definitely tri-stars, they're not four-spoke peace
signs. Could be Daimler logos. Wouldn't be surprised to see that in
Berlin.
On the other hand, they could be just three-point mounts for the
lifesavers.
But I'd guess their logos.
