My wife and I popped up to town in Thursday evening to find a large workshop-type exhibition space filled with the buzz of people young and old. After grabbing a red wine at the bar, we were whisked around to view many and varied displays of young photographic talent from simple single prints hanging, to complex audio-visual setups that puzzled as well as informed. Stefan's work concentrates on deforestation issues in the third world and his prints of a stark, graphic observation and a mosaic of stitched high resolution mapping images were hung in handmade wooden frames adding a touch of 3D. Stef's tutor was impressed and offered praise, and we were suitably proud. After a hearty meal we retreated to the sanity of the countryside and home.
