On 14/12/14, Christine Aguila, discombobulated, unleashed: >This is a fantastic explanation, Cotty, and just what I needed, so I >copy-pasted your response into some notes I've been making on video >production. Very grateful! The point about sound and light at location >versus post-production is key as is having made decisions about overall >style effects prior to shooting. At some point, I'll want to get Final >Cut Pro, and your explanations will be very useful!
Thanks for the kind words. The only version of Final Cut now available is called Final Cut Pro X <https://www.apple.com/uk/final-cut-pro/> I use its predecessor, FCP7 <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Cut_Pro> The two are as different as chalk and cheese. That said, they both produce edited video, so can't be bad ;-) It would take a week long course costing a couple of grand for me to get along with X so seeing as I simply don't have the time to change, I'll stick with what I know and works for me. Plan to retire in 2018 if all goes well. Feel free to email me off list if there's anything else I can help you with XX -- Cheers, Cotty ___/\__ Broadcast, Corporate, || (O) | Web Video Production ---------- <www.seeingeye.tv> _____________________________ -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
