Thanks, Dan. These stink bugs are pretty ugly and true to their name, they smell bad too. But they are the only living insect I see these days. I found another yesterday... one every two weeks is manageable.

A while back I shot its head, this time it is the tail - the tips of its
wings at the tail end,

I upgraded the macro rails from the almost antique Pentax Macro Rails III
to a new set of Kiwi macro rails. I wound up going to the local photo store
to see what they had - these are 4 way rails, solid, no play or shim, have a
metal rack and pinion system (apparently form review some are plastic) and
cost only $79. So I'm happy with that for now. I'm glad that I could visit a
store and check these out - buying stuff like this on the internet is
vexing. These rails and dozens of other brands all look alike and range
widely in price. These are about as inexpensive as they get, but seem to be
very good.

Otherwise the photo was taken with a K-01, D-FA 50mm macro at 1:1 with an
additional 68mm of extension, AF360FGZ flash. 19 images stacked.

C&C always welcomed.
