It is Milford CT. There are a number of old diners in a number of towns
that I haven't visited lately that might or might not be neglected or
being restored. There was one in Middletown CT where I ate a central
Connecticut "delicacy", (steamed hamburgers), for the first time 12
years ago that seemed to have been abandoned not long after that. I
think it was still there, unoccupied, on my last stop in town, but
didn't take the time to stop to be sure. It's a small early streamline
dining car style, IIRC, special more for it's location than anything
else. Next time I'm up that way I'll try to get a photo.
My main reason for being in Milford was to stop in at Milford Camera,
not that I can actually buy much there, they carry everything but
Pentax, and much as a number of EVIL cameras are tempting, I need
another system like I need an extra hole in my head. Wonder of wonders
they actually had something that I did buy, a twenty pack of 11x17
Inkpress photo paper, at half price. They had an interesting tale to
tell, the Inkpress paper just wasn't selling, (I don't know why, I've
been using it for larger prints for several years with very good
results), so they decided to change over to Ilford for inkjet papers,
just in time for Ilford Imaging to go bankrupt. They didn't have any
fire sale prices on Ilford inkjet papers unfortunately. Now they're
going to be carrying Hammermill.

All are very fine images. Black dogs are very difficult to
photograph, but you make it look easy, and of course I am please to
see the dines and to hear it is being restored. I assume this is the
one in Milford, CT, rather than the one in PA, DE or NJ.
(BTW, the link in your post is brokent; I got to the image by copying
and pasting the entire URL, rather than just clicking the link, which
didn't work.)

I was digging through some old files and came across this one. It was
fairly underexposed, people are amazed at how good the K-5 series cameras
are at bringing out detail but Pentax DSLRs have always been pretty good at
that. In addition this was taken with my first F 70-210mm f4.-5.6, I'm
always amazed at just how good that lens was.

The second is an informal portrait, I think it captures the subjects
personality pretty well.

Finally a derelict diner being restored.
