I think his criticism is fair, and his comparison with tourism is appropriate 
so it is not simply anti-royalist. He is saying that Harry is behaving like an 
imperialist, which I think is true. He is able to behave like that, or at least 
get attention, because he is royal - most tourists do not. Other photographers 
are criticised for the same reasons.

As for enhancing the effectiveness of his work, you might think it justifies 
it, but there are many people who do not. In large parts of the world these 
sorts of charitable organisations - and I work for one of them - are seen as 
patronising at best, arms of imperialism and western spies at worst. It is a 
complex issue, not as clear-cut a case of good as you might at first think, and 
NGOs are very aware of the pitfalls and issues - I think Harry has made a bit 
of a mistake with this.
