I went to a friend's knishmas party tonight. It is amazing that he and I had not met years earlier than this September. I probably knew at least a quarter of the people at his party, very few were even from the same social group where I met him.

One of my old friends that I saw there had bought a K-5, primarily because he saw the photos I got of the Andromeda Galaxy with mine. After seeing my posts wishing that I had a Sigma 18-35/1.8, he bought one himself, which he had with him at the party, and which he let me play with. The bastard.

A couple of the reviews I saw about it mentioned the difficulty it had focusing in low light. That did not seem to be at all a problem with the one I played with. I'm now down from 800 reasons not to buy one to only 799.
