Julia, These are very different cameras. Based on what I have seen of your work, the MZ-S would be the better choice. Having AF, wireless flash, P-TTL, flash compensation, etc would be very useful. I think the LX shines in a more deliberate outdoor environment. Both are great cameras and you would actually want to try both before passing judgement on which fits your style and needs best.
Personally, with how good your portraits are looking, I would look toward lenses or maybe even consider medium format.
