------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I do it with some trepidation, but if it’s going to be more than empty words this is the place to start: In the coming year photography will be a highest priority in my life, up there with eating and sleeping and being nice to my lovely girl friend. I’ve done a fair bit of photography this year, more than any year ever. It’s been fairly diverse—photo documentation of a youth development program, first attempts at portraiture, fair bits of nature and sports photography. I carry my camera with me all the time, but there are long gaps with no shooting at all. And there are a couple types of photography that call out to me—landscape and wildlife—that I have yet to seriously attempt. I have ideas for a couple projects that would combine photography and writing. But there will have to be more than words. I will have to plan to go out of my way—my usual way—and follow through on the plans.
