I'm back after a very consuming stretch at work.

Our church had a "Dance Through the Decades" a couple of weeks before Christmas, and I was asked to arrange a photo booth--something I hadn't done before. Bruce W and Larry generously offered advice and instructions. Without time to buy and become facile with new equipment, though, I had to improvise.

For a backdrop I used a well-wrinkled bedsheet, with a hand-painted picture of a Christmas tree (by a fellow congregant and chorister) hung in front of it. The lighting was my wirelessly slaved Sigma flash (mounted on a tripod) firing into a projection screen to my left; augmented by the popup flash on my K-5 (set to master). The lens was my FA 24-90.

It worked swimmingly. This is one shot from the evening:
