Ann, good to hear from you, but sorry about the tripod attack. Those things
have legs that lengthen as needed to trip folks.
Nice you have friends near (and far, I'm sure) who are eager to be of whatever
help they can.
All the best. I'm sure virtually everyone has missed you.
Hang!!

Jack

Subject: OT: excuses,excuses,excuses

Guys , sorry to be so absent but just haven't been able to get too
involved in anything but my stuff right now... I have randomly clicked
on PESO's now and then and sometimes wrote someone off list - the people
I'm closer to in real life, mostly.

I've got bursitis. It blossomed a few weeks ago, lapsed and came back in
spades when I used the leg that had it to stop myself from falling when
I walked into my tripod in my living room. The living room is
really my edbay photography studio and I had moved the T-pod from its
normal space to clear the table when I friend came to visit..
That was about 10 days ago..

I now am walking with a cane all the time and taking a trolly cart
when I go out - takes me 3 times as long to get anywhere and back and
hence shortens my productive hours.

rest, elevation, ice. repeat. I'm not totally healed - but things
are much less painful. Of coruse I did it to myself initially trying
to carry far too much for my small frame down 3 flights of stairs.

I have two friends/neighbors who are helping me haul things up the
stairs when I get home... I don't feel too bad about asking one of them
in particular to do that as I get his mail when he is away and his work
schedule is such that he often gets a few weeks at a time off - while
here it is intense workload 4 days a week.

I've been using my offic chairs with wheels as wheelchairs to propel
myself around the apartment part of the time. it is so easy that
could make me lazy - trying not to let that happen.

I can't carry my camera outside at all so no street shooting for a while.

I have been cooking somewhat having discovered a trick with my
toaster oven that isn't revealed in the instructions. I can bake
in it... by NOT using the bake dial except to get it up to temperature.
then turning to "warm" to get only the bottom element to come on. Made
delicious blue cornmeal and pine nut muffins.

treated myself to delivery of a large batch of goods from Trader Joes
on the 14th....

so I'm getting by but don't feel like doing much, thinking much.
tv, words with friends, phone visits with friends and family.
and I got "finding Vivian Maier" out of the library and watched
it 3 times. Obviously, I love it.

I'm still searching for the location of a couple of photos
.. I thought maybe Florida but now think California..

anyone know?...

thanks for the "likes" I got on the January PUG shot. The gallery
overall was terrific this month,methinks
