Glad to hear you guys enjoyed the memories. There's a lot of that kind of farming near where I live. The Canterbury Plains are very good farming country. Flat land, good soil and some decent rivers coming off the mountains (although things are getting pretty dry at the moment).
We passed an unbelievable amount of grain fields on that journey... given the amount of beer they drink over there it was probably all barley :) Cheers, Dave (eating oats again) > On Jan 25, 2015, at 12:51 pm, Ann Sanfedele <[email protected]> wrote: > > What Bob said,,, having grown up in the same environment... although my > grandparents were across the big muddy in Clinto, Iowa... there were miles of > flat farmland to pass by to get there. > > ann > > On 1/24/2015 16:24, Bob Sullivan wrote: >> Dave, >> It's a deeply nostalgic picture for me as well. >> It brings back memories of visits to central Illinois and my grandparents. >> Chicago sits at the edge of 1,000 miles of prairie and many farms & silos. >> Regards, Bob S. >> >> On Thu, Jan 22, 2015 at 9:16 PM, David Mann <[email protected]> wrote: >>> Another view out the train window :) >>> >>> http://gallery.multi.net.nz/photo/852/#peso >>> >>> Cheers, >>> Dave >>> >>> >>> -- >>> PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List >>> [email protected] >>> http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net >>> to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and >>> follow the directions. >> > > -- > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > [email protected] > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow > the directions. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
