I think Mishka asked the right question about cost and availability.  The K 
85/1.8 is one of the most expensive and rare Pentax 35mm lenses.  The other 
two are the A*135/1.8 and the A*85/1.4.  You just can't find them, or when 
you do, they are outrageously expensive.

I know, I know, someone of you traded a used 50mm f2 and some bubble gum 
wrappers for one.  But most of the rest of us, we spend years looking for 
these lenses.  I was lucky.  I was offered the 135 in my first year of so 
reading the list.  It took another 2 years to find the 85/1.4.  And the 
K85/1.8 was hardest of all.  Cotty recently posted a tip on one to the list, 
and I called England at 6AM Chicago time on a Saturday morning to grab the 
deal.  They just don't come along that often!
