Sometimes I need to take pictures in the dark, those blackmail moments
so seldom happen in the light...

Well that's not entirely true, you can take adequate photos, under most
circumstances with a *ist-D but you can't quite take them in the dark,
for that you need at least a K-5. I'm not sure what a FF Pentax would
do for me as the mount is still likely to be crippled and most of my
full frame lenses are K and M series. Might as well get the extra
reach.

I am using a K3 currently.
As for what a full-frame Pentax could do for me, scratch an itch.
Don't confuse "want" with "need".
Nobody *needs* a full-frame Pentax. Nobody needs a K3.
Or K5, K7, K20D, ... for that matter. You can do what you "NEED" with a
*ist-D.
WANT is a different story.

Are you currently shooting with a K3 ?
Just curious as to what you anticipate the jump to full frame would do
for you?

The K-3 is my most used camera. Use it every single day.
I suppose the only better Pentax camera available for a long time
would
be the 645Z - it has Live View, ISO above 200.000 and a flipable
screen.
I can't afford it yet, but someday I may buy a used one :-)
I've a K3 some weeks now and I'm delighted with it. I note that
heavier
discounts are about, even in the short time I've owned one, so
something new
to come? I'm not bothered now, as the K3 is a delight.
The 645Z is remarkable, and I thought very costly, until I looked
at the
competition, some of which are three times as much.

I'll be set if it comes out sometime before GFM Nature Photography
Weekend or I don't find another guitar I want to buy.
