Fred,
    What I was trying to put across is the the optical and build quality on
some of the Tokina lense surpass that of others - such as Sigma and Tamron.
All the Sigma lenses I have handled and used are "throw away lenses". My
wife had one on her Minolta AF I bought her in the early 90's - it fell
apart. I have a 400 f5.6 Ka Sigma that I'm too ashamed of even to list.
