Thanks Darren.

Ken Waller's "Birds" is a stunner with a modest title (and I'd like more info on how that was created. Is that
a scanned slide, by chance)?

Yes Darren, its a Velvia slide scanned on my Nikon 4000ED scanner, then run thru PS with only light/dark point fiddling and some unsharp mask. The colors really were that way.

A lot of lovely, lovely images that could be featured in a Kodak print
book/booklet; (Anybody remember those at Ye Olde Camera Store)? Brian
Walter's "Afternoon Stroll" is literally picture perfect and would
make a challenging jigsaw puzzle. Christine's "Beach" is the bravest
anti-postcard submission, and Dan's "Beach Reflections" also shows an
alternative way of seeing a scene. Kudos also to Matthew Hunt's
"Lifeguards Are Not On Duty" for showing how a "rule" can successfully
be broken (horizon in the middle). Jan's "Blonde on the Beach" got an
audible chuckle out of me. Ken Waller's "Birds" is a stunner with a
modest title (and I'd like more info on how that was created. Is that
a scanned slide, by chance)? Many other pleasing images in a
delightful gallery!

Thanks, Bob, and nice gallery. There are some frames in there I don’t think I saw while we were active on our unfinished collaborative project. All are great, but that last one is great fun! The gallery is another example of your wonderful playful eye we all love! I thought about posting some shots from Holy Island, but took a chance with the one I submitted—something a little different.

Cheers, Christine

Nice gallery. I like the goat, and Christine's best, but there's a lot of good stuff.

2 or 3 years ago Christine and a few others talked about us doing a joint beach gallery, but I don't think we ever finished it. But in honour of this month's PUG I have put up a gallery of my own non-Pentax beach shots. You've probably seen most of them before.

G'day all

A lot to like this month...

Ann's 'Canton Beach', Dan's 'Beach Reflections' and Ken's 'Santa Barbara Birds' are my equal favourites but Jan's 'Blonde on the Beach' is a lot of fun.

As usual, you'll find the gallery here:

http://pug.komkon.org/

(you may need to refresh your browser if you see the previous gallery there).

Note: The automated submission process usually works well but it's not infallible. So, if you made a submission and you don't see it in the gallery, let me know.

Next up is 'Curved'.

Submit here:
