All I can say is it's a proposed 24x36mm (approximate), sensor camera that from certain angles resembles a Pentax 67 much as the K-7/5 body resembled a mash up of the LX and Super Program with the winder grip attached.

I expect it will be competitive with the Mid Level Nikon FF as far as performance goes, and have equivalent or slightly better than Nikon or Sony imaging quality for those cameras using the same chip.

I hope they don't go higher than 36mp, Canon's new ~50mp chips are said to have relatively poor high ISO response, and yes physics is a bitch who must be placated,

What I'd hope for is in body SR and ergonomics as good as the K-5. Let's hope that they didn't let the team that created the K-S1 anywhere near it, and had the team that designed the 645 had some input.

What I'd wish for is an aperture simulator, after all Nikon can do it why not Pentax.

It appears to be a crude wood or clay shape model. Obviously, there are
features missing.

Not sure how closely this prototype is actually going to be to the
real camera, but it appears similar in layout to the K-3 except:
No LIVE VIEW/Record Video button? No headphone jack or mic jack?
Doesn't appear that this camera will do video (not that this would be
a deal breaker for many).
It is supposed to have 2 card slots, so did they move that button to a
position over the top of the 4-way?
There is an extra button on the left side of the body (over the RAW/FX
button) and it appears that this model will not have a built-in flash?
No articulating screen?

Or do you think that they just aren't giving these details away in the mock-up?

So will the button layout be like a K-3 or like the new K-S2? Looks like a
tilt screen on the back, built in wifi, or is that considered consumer level
like the built in flash, which the model seems to lack. Inquiring minds
want to know. I still think the vibe in the design should be MZ-S rather
than 6x7 but that's just me.

I don't know if this is smarter than Pentax with the MZ-D where there was a
working prototype, (and nary a rumor until it was just about canceled), but
here they unvale a clay mockup...

Looks like they have smarter people on board now, as they haven't missed
the 40th anniversary of the K mount.
