I do use a tripod fairly often, but only rarely on my Saturday walks. These were hand-held. The Trees And Fence shot was made at approximately 220mm EFoV, but note that I keep my exposure time short (1/320 sec) to promote good sharpness.
The little Oly 40-150/4-5.6 is a good, sharp lens—not quite as good as the ZD 50-200, but then it's 1/4 the size and price, two stops slower. It fits in my vest pocket with hardly a bulge and weighs next to nothing. The E-PL7 has excellent 3-axis IBIS too.
