First shots with my "new" Pentax MX-1. This little gem shoots DNG!
JPG is as bad as it gets from point and shoot cams. DNG gives near DSLR quality, also thanks to the very nice optics. Distortion is very noticable and a little CA and purple fringing wide open. Lightroom can correct everything. Firmware: Focus peaking is missing and file management, like deleting files, is different compared to other Pentax cams. Some reviews complain about slow writing speeds. Maybe my SD card is helping. Startup speed is very fast and the lens jumps out of the body. Firmware is 1.0 and no updates available. Looks like this was a one shot try of Pentax to grab a market share for this type of cam and it failed. (Maybe) the design is a little over the top.
