Those are very nice captures.
A lot of people seem to turn their noses up at the A*300mm f4.0 (and
it's M doppelganger), the the only drawback I can find to that
particular lens is it's admittedly long minimum focusing distance.
It is after all 30 year old equipment, you might as well be using
obsidian for your lens and hand coating silver nitrate on vellum.
