"Copyright" isn't an all-or-nothing thing. Posting on Facebook doesn't take away any of your rights to use or sell the photo. It gives them the rights to display it and use it in any medium to promote Facebook. Technically, they also have the right to sub-license your images to any third party they want, but that's just a CYA to allow them to put it on Akamai or other Content Delivery Network whose servers they use to take load of Facebook's own servers. At the present time, you just have to remove your photo from Facebook and they lose these rights (in 30 days, IIRC, to allow for latency issues with third-party CDN's).
