But most scenes were underexposed by about 2 stops. (And it isn’t about the scanning process - you can tell by looking at the slides that they are too dense. Shoulda’ used a Pentax!) I may have overdone the added exposure on the waterfalls - I was trying to bring up the lush green vegetation to the point where it didn’t come across as a dark mass. > and would be interested to see some of these posted next to your current ones > in a how thing's change or don’t I will do a little bit of this. Unfortunately I did not look at the slides before the trip and thus don’t have more than a couple of shots then-and-now. In general, the city still looks much the same. Different cars and buses on the streets, a couple of areas spruced up to handle higher volumes of tourists. In the countryside and around the Iguazu Falls area, major difference I saw was the existence of paved streets and roads. And walkways today to take viewers close to the falls in lieu of the wooden rowboats we used before. > I take it that is YOU at in the last frame? I (and my first wife) and my parents show up in a few frames. That is indeed a younger me in the last frame. One additional background note - these were shot with my first ever SLR, a Nikkormat I had received for Christmas 7 months earlier. I had two lenses: a 50mm (probably f/2.0) and a 105mm. I haven’t been able to extract the EXIF from the slides to determine which lenses were used for which shot > > Have enjoyed the stuff you showed on facebook from the recent journey a lot. Thanks Ann. And BTW, I do have a few NYC shots from the same era - we went there to visit friends earlier that summer. I’ll scan a couple of those next time I pull the scanner out. > > ann > > On 3/7/2015 10:48, Stanley Halpin wrote: >> I am slowly going through images from my recent Argentina trip, whittling >> down and selecting and processing.
