Thanks Malcom,
Your perspective comment reminds me of the views from my window here
(whre I've lived since 1968) that changed.. I have 4 windows facing the
street - because of the way I've changed things around over the years
the window I can easily open now as compared to the 70's is about 20 to
24 feet to the right, west. The guy who owns the coffee place across
the street from me and who requested I make the Back in the Day calendar
were going back and forth about which door/window of the buildings
across the street now correlated to the ones back in the day..
Because I was shooting straight out of the window in both photos
I'm saying "how can that be, no, this must be that..etc.. then
when looking at the actual structure with him I saw he was right
and the lightbulb went over my head...

Wondering if this is interesting in itself or if you need the contrast
of what that exact spot looks like to day to make it so.
An interesting scene which stands for itself.
I've been taking pictures of my area for decades now. Some of the slides I'm
now scanning will make good 'then and now' comparisons, and I have a list of
about 250 sites I want to take for 2015 to ensure this continues. I think
it's just another method of telling a story.
The one thing that bugged me for weeks was the difference in perspective
from pictures I took in the 70s to today. Last night I reviewed one looking
through the fence of a local playing field in 1973 (now housing). Only then,
it dawned on me that I'm a foot taller now...
